AGA Project > Design and development phase
(deadline 2009)
The following project’s phase, named SAGAS-150 Project –Advanced Gyroscopic Actuator System for Attitude Control of 100-150 kg-class Satellites-got started in September 2005. The development of this phase is being overlapped with the INTA’s MicroSat-1 project, national scientific satellite that will take on board a SAGAS-150 device as technological payload.
ADS is currently involved in the design and development of the Actuator’s Engineering Model which will be verified and validated prior to mounting the Qualification Model.
Then, the Qualification Model will be integrated in the MicroSat-1 Service Module to run the Qualification Trials. The output of these tests will determine the Actuator’s flight readiness.
After the Qualification Trials, The Flight Model will be assembled and embarked in the MicroSat-1 as technological payload. Once in orbit, it will be tested for in-flight verification and validation according to the satellite’s test programme. The MicroSat-1 is forecasted for setting in orbit during 2010.
