The Company > Introduction

ADS is a engineering company focused on research, development, industrialization and commercialization of dynamic systems and equipment for ground, naval and space applications. The company was established in February 2003 by a group of aerospace experts, and began its activity in April 2004 with the kick-off of the AGA project. The AGA -Advanced Gyroscopic Actuator-, is a type of Control Moment Gyro (CMG), device employed in Attitude and Orbit Control Systems for satellites. This innovating project is –as of end of 2006- currently merged in the of the design and development of an engineering model which will be part of the technological payload of the MicroSat-1, scientific satellite developed by the National Institute for Aeronautical Techniques (INTA), forecasted to set in orbit in the beginning of 2010.

Alongside the AGA project, ADS is also working in other projects (MGIRO, PANSOL), aiming at the implementation of the AGA state-of-the-art technology in other industrial domains. Thus, ADS is able to provide response for a wide range of demands set by the users, taking full advantage of its founded human workforce, consisting of a wide range of experts in different domains, prepared for offering top-level engineering services.

ADS strives for becoming a modern, transparent and built-to-raise firm. We have created a solid infrastructure that allows an integrated corporative management. This feature has enabled us to focus on the aerospace sector, with a great attention to Research, Development and innovation activities (R&D+i). As a highlighting example, ADS has been certified in Quality Management Systems against ISO 9001:2000 and UNE EN 9100:2003 norms. Furthermore, ADS has implemented a Technological Surveillance and Competitive Intelligence (TS&CI) System. Finally, the Toribio Echevarria Award to the Technological Innovation, presented to ADS in November 2005, is a clear proof of our success.

In order to expand our capabilities to new markets, ADS intends to be certified in accordance with PECAL 2120 and PECAL 160 requirements, which set forth part of the normative framework for Quality Assurance in defence applications.
